RASSEGNA STAMPA, ULTIMISSIMA: IL RACCONTO “THE SECRET” VINCE IL TERZO POSTO NEGLI U.S.A. AL CONCORSO “1th ANNUAL SHORT STORY CONTEST”

Cari amici, vi ricordate i vostri voti che io vi chiesi a fine anno 2020? Ebbene, quell’operazione ha dato i suoi frutti, poiché sulla base di quella votazione e la successiva valutazione nell’ambito della “1th Annual Short Story Contest” indetto dalla Casa Editrice statunitense SOOP di Madison, Wisconsin, il mio racconto in lingua inglese “The secret” ha ottenuto il terzo posto della categoria “Family & Relations”!

Una vicenda nata quasi per caso, grazie all’invito a partecipare da un contatto su Linkedin. All’inizio non ci credevo molto, spesso si è bombardati di inviti e offerte, che poi si rilevano soltanto fumo, se non truffe. Ma questo no, era vero, e la correttezza degli interlocutori d’oltreoceano me l’hanno confermato. Allora ho preso quel racconto scritto quasi per scherzo, di getto, come tanti altri ne ho nel cassetto, l’ho tradotto e l’ho inviato.

Così oggi la notizia di questo risultato, importantissimo per il mio percorso di autore, perché avrò un contratto con la SOOP per pubblicare il racconto in un’antologia, nel 2022, diretta al pubblico americano e una via preferenziale per pubblicare altre mie opere negli Stati Uniti.

Si approda così negli States.

I curatori editoriali della SOOP hanno apprezzato la storia, grazie alla sua italianità e al suo tratto narrativo che li ha entusiasmati. Di questo ne sono felice e onorato, mi sento parte di quel Made in Italy che nel mondo è tanto apprezzato. Sono felice di fare onore alla nostra Italia, di far vedere all’estero che siamo ancora un popolo di creativi e per questo invidiati, sempre.

Ringrazio quindi la SOOP nelle persone di coloro che la compongono, a partire da Diana Vidal, Executive Assistant & Author Support Coordinator, ringrazio tutti voi, cari amici, che nel 2020 mi avevate votato e ringrazio l’autrice Maria Teresa De Donato del Texas che ha tradotto il testo con arte e professionalità, ripulendolo dal mio inglese “vulgare”.

Dear friends, do you remember your votes that I asked you until 2020? Well, that operation paid off, because on the basis of that vote and the subsequent evaluation in the “1th Annual Short Story Contest” organized by the US Publishing House SOOP in Madison, Wisconsin, my story in English ” The secret ”got the third place in the“ Family & Relations ”category!

A story born almost by chance, thanks to the invitation to participate from a contact on Linkedin. At first I did not believe it very much, it is often bombarded with invitations and offers, which then only smoke is detected, if not scams. But no, it was true, and the accuracy of the overseas interlocutors confirmed it to me. So I took that story written almost as a joke, straight away, like so many others I have in my drawer, I translated and sent it.

So today the news of this result, very important for my career as an author, because I will have a contract with SOOP to publish the story in an anthology, in 2022, aimed at the American public and a preferential way to publish my other works in the United States .

Thus he arrives in the States.

The editorial curators of SOOP appreciated the story, thanks to its Italian character and its narrative trait that thrilled them. I am happy and honored for this, I feel part of that Made in Italy that is so much appreciated in the world. I am happy to do honor to our Italy, to show abroad that we are still a people of creatives and therefore always envied.

So I thank the SOOP in the people of those who make it up, starting with Diana Vidal, Executive Assistant & Author Support Coordinator, I thank all of you, dear friends, who voted for me in 2020 and I thank the author Maria Teresa De Donato from Texas who he translated the text with art and professionalism, cleaning it from my “vulgar” English.
